Charging Your Battery Through Your Computer Can Hurt Your iPod?

Yes, it will. By charging your ipod through your computer can deplete battery life. Your computer doesn't know when to stop flowing energy through the battery causing it to lose its maximum potential. And once your battery is shot you have to either try and replace your battery and risk breaking your ipod or you have to just get a new ipod. I recommend that you purchase a USB wall charger converter. This wall charger plugs into your wall socket. It converts the energy to travel through a USB wire so it can charge your ipod. This product does know to stop when it's done charging so it will stop the flow of energy saving your battery. I also recommend buying Apple. They have the most reliable product because they made your ipod. You can purchase one below:

How To Post Using Your iPod Touch or iPhone

Let's say that you just heard about this great new product and you want to write about it your blog. But you're faraway from from home but you have an iPod Touch or iPhone. So you get to a wifi zone or you use your cell service and download Blog Writer Lite. This is free in the app store. First you sign in to whatever online blog service you use (Blogger, Typepad, etc). Then you create a new post and it will then send it in. I have written this post in that exact app. It's very user friendly and works great. Definitely go and get this app! 5 Very Useful (And Free) Apps

Over my experience with my iPod touch I have found 10 very useful apps. These apps are free in iTunes. I will provide basic information about the app too. They are as follows:

Facebook - Free - This app was made by Facebook.com. It allows you check messages, update your status, chat with your friends, and much more.

Flashlight - Free - This app is a very useful app. When the power goes out and you don't have a flashlight what do you do? You get out your iTouch and open this app. It is just a blank super bright screen that lets off a bunch of light.

Public Radio - Free - this app is like Pandora, but it's better. It loads fast and has a whole slew of stations. They are all FM and high quality. It has all of the MAJOR stations.

TextPLUS - Free - This app is like Text Free, but this lets you send unlimited texts for free. It has some bugs, but it is still good. I'd definitely recommend this app to you.

Bargain Bin - Free - This app is a great money saver. It keeps track of apps that go on sale. It has 2 categories: Bargain and Free. I've actually saved about 10 dollars using this app. Go and get it!!!

How To Make Custom Videos iPod Compatible

Many people have funny videos or slide shows or some sort of video that they like and want to show others. But they don't know how to put them on their iPods. This mini guide will show you exactly what to do.

First you will need to download some software.
HandBrake Ver. 0.9.3
http://handbrake.fr

Now, the format of the video doesn't matter but make sure the resolution is higher than 640x480.

It's best that your video is in a high quality format like .MOV or something like that. If you need a video converter try this: http://www.any-video-converter.com

Once you done this open up Handbrake and click "Source" in the upper left hand corner.

Go to the file you want to convert and then specify the resolution. There are presets on the right side of the window.

Under output settings make sure it saves the video as an M4V file. You've probably heard that MP4 works too, but M4V works better I've found.

Once the process is complete open it in iTunes. And then check mark it. The next time you sync your iPod it will be added to it.

How to Jailbreak an iPod Touch

Since I've had so many people request that I post about how to jailbreak an iPod touch I guess I'll write one. A jailbroken iPod has access to 3rd party apps from apps like Installer. You can also install different OS clones. I've even seen one where it ran Windows Vista on it which is stupid. I will NOT jailbreak my own iPod. I have found a great video from Youtube.com that explains it all. Also in a jail broken iPod you can have a background picture behind your apps instead of just having black. This app is a very cool way way to impress your friends who don't have an iPod touch. It basically is a little pool of water that when you touch it it ripples as if it were real. The graphics are great and you can change the background image to anything you want. This is an app that is free so GO AND GET IT!! Everytime I see an app that is worthwhile and free I get it.
